Immunet is a cloud based anti-virus application for pc’s. This application uses new cloud based computer. What this means is the program is actually runs on another fast system and will run well on any system it is installed on. (It won’t take up any room on your computer!) An easy way to think of it is like baking cookies at a neighbors house, using their oven and supplies, but still bringing them home to eat. All the perks!

Immunet was founded in July 2008 by Anti Virus industry veterans to address a sweeping shift in the Internet threat landscape. Immunet utilizes the latest advances in computing, including cloud computing, collective intelligence, data mining and machine learning. Immunet Protect 2.0 is a free Cloud Anti Virus download that provides real-time protection from over 16.5 million threats daily.

Their flagship product, Immunet Protect Free, provides extra anti virus protection that is light, fast and compatible with existing security products. This compatibility is actually quite rare in an anti-virus program. Most see the competition as malware/virus/etc and try to delete them on the first run, I’m looking at you Norton. The Immunet Community grows daily by the word-of-mouth recommendations of satisfied members, who say they like the extra, fast anti virus protection that Immunet provides for free.

Immunet can make a great holiday gift for those hard to get people.
