The smell that will greet you as you open your car doors upon arrival are alone worth the drive, and you may notice an extra jump in your step as you approach the entrance. The store itself is lovely, and the candies inside? Well. Ladies. Need I say more?
These candies and chocolates are made right in the factory behind the store, so freshness will never be an issue. They are of the highest quality, and you will know as soon as you bite into one that one is simply not enough- and thank goodness for all of the options you will have to choose from! Now comes the hard part....how to choose?
We were able to try some of the new FM Artisan chocolates created by world-renowned chocolatier Norman Love. These ultra-high quality and eye-catching chocolates are handmade in small batches, using only the finest ingredients found all over the world. With flavors like birthday cake, vanilla bourbon, chocolate-dipped strawberry, and lemonade, these flavors will tempt even the angriest of wives into speaking with you again.
On our tour, we learned how Harry London and Fannie May became partners and went into business in the great state of Ohio, Fannie May's home. They are also partners with 1-800-Flowers, where you can order candies from both names in addition to floral arrangements, or on their own.
Some of our favorite candies we learned about (and of course had to try) were the Buckeyes (themed after Ohio's Buckeye Tree), mint meltaways, and trinidads (which are layers of rich chocolate covered a a toasted coconut shell). Though it may sound like Heaven, this is a very real candy, that is available for purchase right here on Earth, in stores or online.
You can find out more about these delicious candies and more delectables offered on their website, Facebook page, or on Twitter.
