Hey all you weight loss buddies- it’s that time again. I wanted to show you my new NutriBear! He represents my 20 pound weight loss on Nutrisystem. Yay!!! (And the crowd goes wild! Well, OK- not the crowd, but maybe my computer chair, at least, LOL.)
He is relaxing on my pillow after a hard day of motivating me NOT to eat all the brownies I baked for my husband and kids.Β  He did a great job! Β

This week- I have nothing new to share with you. No gains, no losses. I have done nothing to shout about. However, this is most likely my own fault, since I had a minor meltdown and I ate a cheesecake last week. Not a piece. Like, the whole thing. It was in my fridge, and I have not cheated….but then I ate a freaking cheesecake. Yes. I said that. I admit it. So is there some kind of an “Oh my gosh, you are a pig” shirt I should wear or something? I mean for real- EW, who does that? I ate it throughout the day, and while I felt minor-ly guilty, I have to say the large part of me just didn’t even care. Like many of you, I am a comfort food eater, and right now we are our own demolition crew (Thanks Irene!) for our ruined house, and my dog has cancer, and my job is driving me to tears just about daily- and you know what? I ate a cheesecake. And I will live.

At least I stayed on the diet the rest of the time. And since I did, I didn’t GAIN any weight, so I will take it. Sometimes, you just have to go with it. I am under a tremendous amount of stress right now (dealing with loss of house, possessions, cleanup and demolition, contractors, insurance people that are not helpful, FEMA, government agencies, a dog with cancer, a job from hades, etc- so I am so not going to beat myself up for this. It happens, and next week- moving on! This week will be better. I am looking forward to my 30 pound bear one of these weeks!

I have to say, this diet works. I have struggled with my weight all my life, even as a competitive athlete in my teens I had to really WORK to keep the weight off. If you stick to it, you will lose weight on Nutrisystem.
Have a good week, and I will let you know how this week goes.

  1. congrats on your bear!!

  2. Love it! I have to keep busy if that kind of thing is in the house. I think I ate a total of 8 different kinds of cookies that I didn’t even want to buy in the first place. *sigh* Can’t wait to have the baby & lose some weight!!

  3. Hey, life is stressful sometimes and you need a cheesecake for yourself. πŸ™‚ Great job on the bear.

  4. Grace- that is something only a skinny wench would say, LOL

  5. Don’t worry, I do the same thing every time I make a batch of cookies. My husband eats a few and then the next day, while he is at work, somehow the plate that was once full gradually diminishes. They are good though. πŸ™‚ If I had a cheesecake in my fridge, I just might do the same thing.

  6. Not gaining is just as good as loosing. Love the bear!

  7. Great job Sam! I’m 3.5 pounds away from my 20 pound bear! I also love that you are so honest…haha when I cheat, I just say I cheat, I dont mention the half of pizza gone LOL πŸ˜‰

  8. wow good for you

  9. LOL – I love that the chair went wild πŸ˜‰

    WTG SAM!!!
