Little Man loves his costumes. Just the other day he was mentioning how much he loved his old bat costume, “..but now it shrank so I can’t wear it….right? Or can I wear it?” Indeed his costume did not fit him, but of course not because it shrank, but because he grew. Sigh. He is just growing up so quickly, momma can’t stand it….but I digress.

He thoroughly enjoys to wear costumes; this kid LOVES dress up and imagination play. His most recent addition has been a Cat in the Hat costume from anytimecostumes.com. They have a whole page full of Cat in the Hat costumes. This costume is well made and good quality, and what we really like about it is that it is sort of like having two costumes in one. Without the hat, its a cat costume, with it- it is Cat in the Hat. You can even just wear the hat and have a silly hat for silly hat day. It’s a very fun costume.

In the book, the cat is a bit mischievous to say the least, and in the TV show it is more of the same. It uses silly wacky-ness to get kids to learn something new. It is a show where kids will absorb some knowledge while seeing a familiar character.
By the way- feel free to check out some fun Dr. Seuss activities . Cat in the Hat is a classic and this costume does him justice. Now we just have to keep mommy and daddy out of the Thing 1 and Thing 2 costumes.
