Balance Bars- Review and Giveaway

Did you know that in a recent study out of the University of Bristol found almost 80% of New Year’s resolutions are broken within the first month of the year. I think this statistic is insane, yet completely believable. By setting unattainable goals and little support, this is an unfortunate reality. There is some hope for those of us trying to lose weight and get healthier, and that is with Balance Bar. Their most recent campaign is all about helping people “Outlast” their new year’s resolution. But teaming up with a certified life coach and Balance Bar Guru, Amber Rosenberg, you too can have a healthier outlook on life and shed those pounds in a healthy way.

To start here are a few helpful tips:

1) Set short-term goals as well as long-term goals. Instead of shooting to lose a pants size, try instead to set a smaller goal like replacing that afternoon stop at the vending machine with a healthy snack. Try cutting out that soda with lunch and opt for the fruit juice or water first. Balance Bars make this easy because not only are the healthy but also are the perfect size to bring along with you wherever you may go. Balance Bars are full of protein and 23 vitamins and minerals while still having a variety of flavors and types, while carrying throughout a wonderful flavor which will keep those cravings at bay.

2) Be patient. Changing yourself can take time and it is possible you will fall of the wagon a few times. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Realize you have made a mistake and try again. Getting into a self-destructive rut will help no one especially the guilt-eaters. The interesting thing about setting small term goals is, these goals will soon become a norm. Instead of going to the vending machine the Balance Bar will become your afternoon treat. The soda will even seem a bit too sweet or just not taste right with lunch anymore. For soda drinkers it is often as easy as finding what part of soda do you crave, the bubbles, the sweet or the caffeine. If its bubbles seltzer water s a good replacement. For the sweet tooth, there is always a Balance Bar of a cup of juice. And for those of us who have a bit of an addiction to caffeine try some iced coffee or iced tea.

3) Get some support. Support is needed, even if it’s just a little nudge in the right direction. This nudge can be a tip read about online or just talking to someone about your trials and tribulations. Check out Balance Bar’s Outlast Your New Year’s Resolution Facebook page for a great resource.

With these helpful tips and a little help from your friends it is possible to gain the upper hand on your health. Just be patient and in the words of Yo Gabba Gabba, “Keep trying, Don’t Give up, Never Give Up”
