Many families look forward to spending time at the beach during the summer. However, there are a few
things that you will need to do in order to ensure that your trip to the beach is a success. Below are four
tips that will help you get the most out of your family trip to the beach:

Beach trip
Wear Sunscreen

A sunburn can ruin a day of fun in the sun. One of the best things that you and your family can do to
avoid sunburn is to apply sunscreen. Children are more likely to suffer from sunburn because their skin
is more sensitive. That is why they should wear a sunscreen that has a SPF of 30. People who are over
the age of 10 will need a sunscreen that has a SPF of 15.

Go To the Beach during the Coolest Times of the Day

The hottest times of the day are usually between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. These are also the
times that the sun’s rays are at their peak. Furthermore, the hot sun can make young children cranky.
That is why you should take your family to the beach either early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Drink Plenty of Water

It is very easy to get dehydrated in hot weather. Not only can dehydration ruin a beach trip, but it is
also a health threat. You and your family members should drink water frequently throughout the day.
Additionally, you and your family members should watch out for the common signs of dehydration.
Failure to urinate, dry mouth, nausea and dizziness are some of the signs of this condition.

Enjoy Yourself

The whole purpose of going to the beach is to relax. Therefore, you should not feel obligated to follow
a schedule. You should relax while you watch the children play in the water. There is no need for you to
rush to go home or back to the hotel. The children will let you know when they are hungry, thirsty and/
or tired.

Again, the beach is a great way to spend those hot summer days. You and your family can stay safe by
drinking plenty of water, applying sunscreen and going to the beach during the coolest times of the day.
You should also sit back, relax, enjoy yourself and forget about all of the cares of the world.
