It can be hard to lose that pregnancy weight after you have the baby.  However, it’s really important for new moms to get moving. Stroller walks can be a routine moms can employ to regain their health and pre-baby weight.

Stroller walking is a wonderful way for mom to begin focusing on her health once the new baby arrives, and you can spend time with the little one and introduce them to the great outdoors.  Here are the great reasons for mom to start a stroller walking routine:

Helps new moms’ mental and physical well-being
Combats post baby blues
Gets mom out of the house so she won’t feel so isolated with their baby
Encourages her to meet other new moms and form playgroups
Helps mom to implement an easy exercise routine

Helps baby get plenty of fresh air in a protected environment

What else can you to to help your health and return to your old weight?

Get more rest. Yes, we get why this tip might cause you to internally laugh a bit because sleep is one of the things that’s hardest to get when you have a new baby in the house. However, what tends to happen to a lot of moms is that when the baby is sleeping, they use that as a time to clean up or talk on the phone. You’re going to need as much rest as possible to keep your stress levels down and sanity levels up.  Sleep when the baby does.  You will feel better, and look better too.

Make time for yourself. It can definitely be overwhelming to know that you’re in charge of taking care of another person, but that doesn’t mean that you have to ignore your own needs in the process. Whether it’s participating in relaxing guided meditation classes, doing yoga or Pilates, or taking a run by alone, make sure to make some time for yourself. The more relaxed you are, the happier your baby will be.
