Everyday Thai Cooking

As an adventurous chef, I always like to try to cook various culture’s cuisine. Everyday Thai Cooking by Katie Chin is made for people like me. The book is filled with everything from noodle dishes to seafood and even drinks and desserts. This book is essential for anyone wanting to give cooking Thai food a shot.

The Good:

Everyday Thai Cooking has so much variety. I enjoyed how there was varying levels of mastery and experience. This book make sit easy to start with the basics and work your way to excellence.

The book included basic cooking techniques and their explanation as well as a wonderful forward by Katie Workman that talks about why Thai food has such a rich history and how fun it is to enjoy and indulge in.

Everyday Thai Cooking impressed me with it’s extensive knowledge within as well as the beautiful pictures that accompany many of the recipes. The images contained also offer step by step instructions that make mastering Thai cooking a breeze.

The Bad:

All I could really find about Everyday Thai Cooking that was less than awesome is the fact that it was too shot. I also think that although there was a wide variety of recipes inside, they were not ordered well in the book in the natural order of serving such as drinks first, then appetizers and so on.

What I made from it:

I made an absolutely delicious Mango Shake. It was so simple and tasted like I got it straight from a gourmet smoothie bar. The ingredients were easy to find and it was not expensive to make. Although it called for a garnish of mint, my husband added some to his shake and gave it a spin in the blender. It was very refreshing and smelled wonderful!
