Its holiday card time!  What is one game that is fun to play and also relatively easy?  Why it’s the Emmy’s of Christmas cards.

What pray tell are the Emmy’s of Christmas cards, also known as the pointsies? Well, it is a special award where you and your friends figure out which cards are the best in a few key categories.

And they are:

Cutest- cutest kid/puppy/etc.

Mushiest – this is that special card that brings a tear to your eye and a smile to your face.  Either a well written card or even a little hand written note tucked into a blank card.

Funniest, on purpose- who has the silliest card that actually makes you smile or laugh.  This category is the most fun to prep for in our house.  We are constantly trying to make funny cards which push the envelope a bit.

Funniest, by accident – those oh so wonderful cards where a family portrait is taken but no one notices little Tommy with his finger so far up his nose you can’t see his knuckles anymore.

Best over all – this one is the cream of the crop picked from the 4 categories above and is the best of the year.

Our card this year was funny – on purpose.  We hope.  It’s theme is “Elf” the holiday favorite staring Will Ferrell. Award winning? Who knows, but it was fun and easy to make too.

Christmas Card
