I am almost done with my first week of Nurtisystem.  I can’t say it was a success, but that’s my fault- I was on a trip, so it was not the best time for me to start a diet.  Next week I will be away as well, but then I will be home for a bit and better able to stick to a diet when near my own kitchen, haha.   Plus I will be back at the gym- I’m a girl that loves being on a schedule, so I know it will be better for me when I am back.  Being a carb-queen, there is a lot to get used to, a very different way of eating.  Lots and lots of veggies, dairy is OK to have as well for some things (and variety) and a lot of water.

You get your food in the mail- breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert.  This, plus you can eat veggies, fruit, some dairy and proteins.  Everything but some of the veggies are in small, weighed, or measured quantities.  This is tough at first, but will help you with portion size and control in the long run.  Remember- we didn’t get overweight because we DON’T like to eat, am I right?

I love food- so it’s good to be re-trained after all these years.  Breakfast has been my favorite meal of the day so far.  Better then I would have guessed, honestly.  I also like the shakes, they are filling and good.

I will not lie and say I did a great job with weight loss this first week, I only lost one pound- but I also didn’t stick to the diet all the time AND I didn’t gain weight- which is a huge bonus.  Dude, the flesh is weak- and to be fair, I had to review a few places that involved eating.  I have to figure this out- for me, the first two weeks will be the hardest part because I’m not home, and part of what I do involves eating.  First world problems, right?  Haha.  But once I’m home, I think I will have a better time with it.  Nutrisystem will be great for me when I’m home, because I can eat what they ship (and how easy is that?) and I will need to figure out what to do while I’m not home, because new things are always a little hard to figure out- but worth the time.

Makes it seem much easier than it is I believe and if I were you and traveling so often, not sure I could do it at all. You have shown some great looking food on your blog from places you are visiting. That would do it for me, I’d give in to temptation
