Where do you go for some wonderfully cooked Italian food, in an Italian-inspired environment with some very nice people serving it?  The Olive Garden, of course.  Olive Garden is a chain of Italian restaurants across the country filling plates with Italian fare while creating smiles and full stomachs.

With promotions running all the time to enjoy.  As well as both a rotating menu of season dishes and specials as well as classic favorites like lasagna and grilled chicken Alfredo.  There is something for everyone on the menu even the pickiest of eaters.

During a recent visit Little Man and myself had a filling meal.  The meal started as most do at Olive Garden with a wonderful salad, but to bring the salad up a notch we added and antipasto.  This adds Italian cheeses and meats of various types to the all you can eat salad.  This addition is great and makes an already good salad even better.  Up next we had some chicken meatballs from the appetizer menu which Little Man devoured as if he has been starved for days.

Out main coarse(s) consisted of a delightful chicken Abruzzi which is a part of the lighter fare Italian menu because of its big flavors and healthy ingredients.  The Abruzzi featured grilled chicken in a savory broth cooked with cannellini beans, kale and vegetables.  The soup was delicious and if I wasn’t told it as part of a lighter fare menu I would have never guessed.  Little Man had more of a classic Italian dish, Alfredo whole wheat pasta.  The pasta cooked perfect with just enough bite and the Alfredo sauce consistent creamy and rich.  Little Man is quite good at picking a meal.  That boy can eat….

The food looks good. We go to Olive Garden from time to time. Italian isn’t my favorite but I do like it. I like the idea of adding Italian cheeses and meats of various types to the all you can eat salad.

Olive Garden is one of my favorite restaurants! My favorite is the baked ziti but it would definitely be considered a “splurge” meal so I really love that they offer lighter meals as well.

  4. That looks so good!! I have actually been to OG and had their amazing anti-pasta salad and it was SO good!! My mom drags me there at least every other month.
