Over the next few months, we will be featuring a line of Cricket Media magazines. For our third feature, we will be featuring Cricket’s fiction, literature and nonfiction stories in the award winning magazine, Cricket. This month’s feature, Cricket, and is geared toward 9-14 year olds.

For the past 40 years Cricket has entertained children and teens around the world with the cream of the crop of children’s literature. The overall idea behind Cricket is that young readers love well written and well illustrated stories. All this and no advertisements makes a great magazine for more experienced readers. Cricket Editor In Chief and founder Marianne Carus put it best, “ The way to create in children a love of reading and an appreciation of good writing is to offer them beautifully illustrated, lively, well-written, interesting stories that sustain a witty tone and a sense of humor. I am convinced that children will respond to quality if it’s not forced upon them but presented in an engaging manner.”

Cricket magazine is available in both physical and digital editions, both of which include bonus content on Cricket’s companion web site CricketMagkids.com. The site encourages kids to share ideas, art, writing, and book recommendations in a monitored area. Of the included content there are puzzles, activities, and audio recordings of stories, all meant to extend the content of the magazine.

Physical print copies of the magazine subscription are available at $33.95  while digital is available at $17.99. Both in a combination package are available for $51.90.

For my readers there is a special offer right now-Using the code 360AM3, you can get the print/digital combo at a savings of 60% off a subscription. The print only is a savings of 40% off a subscription.  The code will make a 1-year subscription only $19.95.
