My son and his friend, trying the game out in the Nintendo store.

Nintendo has a quite a few classic characters but few are as fun as their pink fluffy one, Kirby. Kirby is the pink, round guy with a vacuum mouth, for those who don’t know. There is a new Kirby game by Nintendo, which is available now. The game is called Kirby and the Rainbow Curse and brings Kirby into a new style of game play, clay. The clay style is really neat, and must be seen in action. The animation smooth and seamless. It is like playing a cartoon of years ago like Gumby in game version. However, this cartoon stars our favorite little pink guy- Kirby.

Kirby is controlled via touchscreen, where your stylus acts as the rainbow touch making rainbows to guide our pink friend through each level. This game component is fun and works well, but some may prefer a more hands on direct control with buttons and a D-pad. If this is more your pace, make sure to invite lots of friends over, because each additional player who joins can play as Waddle Dee’s of various colors, the Waddle’s being controlled with the Wii remote.

pic6This makes for frenetic game play where players can take turns as Kirby and play as they are comfortable. My son loved playing in this way with his buddy, both taking turns as Kirby.
What is nice about this game is players can learn how to play in either style and have a blast.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse also supports Amiibo figure interaction with Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight, each giving the player an added bonus. This bonus can only be used once a day and disappears when your Kirby loses a life- so play wisely.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is available for the Wii U now and retails for $39.99 rated E for everyone.
