I absolutely love to cook and bake. This chocolate cake recipe is one that we have used in my family for a long time. It is easy to make and tastes wonderful. Check it out.
Chocolate Sheet Cake
In a pan combine:
2 sticks butter or margarine
1 C. water
1/3 C. cocoa
Heat to boiling
Combine in a bowl:
2 C. sugar
2 C. Flour
1 tsp. soda
Mix chocolate mixture with the flour mixture. Mix well.
Add 2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C. buttermilk ( I use whole milk)
Pour in sprayed sheet cake pan. Bake about 20 minutes at 350.
Frosting:
Mix 1 1/2 C. Sugar
7 TB Marj or Butter
6 TB Milk
Boil 2 minutes pour over 2/3 C. semi sweet chocolate chips. Beat. Pour over hot cake!!
