Baby GoGo- A Fabulous Contest for you!

Valentine’s Day is coming, and I think we need to spread the LOVE! I think you all know how much I love Baby GoGo. That is not a secret! I have done a few posts and updates on this cute little baby doll.
Gender neutral and adorable (as well as being the perfect size for a little one to carry around!) Baby GoGo is our favorite doll to date. We reviewed Baby GoGo a few months ago, and I am going to re-post part of my review here (for any new followers, and just to refresh your memories!) But- I have gotten to see Baby GoGo in action at the Chicago Toy and Came Fair (where even Darth Vader was a fan!) and I will have some updated photos for you at the bottom of the post.

This cute baby doll, Baby GoGo, was initially created for the preparation of a younger sibling about to join the family. That in itself is a really good idea- our older children will certainly have some feelings regarding a new member of the family, and helping them learn about babies, how they will come home, what being a big sibling will be like, where mommy will go to have the baby, etc will all go a long way in making them feel included in the process.

Baby GoGo is also gender neutral, which means that it is made for either boys or girls. I can’t stand it when people cringe or judge a boy for wanting to play with a doll or other “girls toys”. There should be no classification between “boy’s toys” and “girl’s toys”- if someone told my daughter she couldn’t play with a football or a truck, I think I would lose it! I feel the same way about macho attitudes about boys playing with a doll. We want our sons to grow up and be good men, loving husbands, kind fathers, involved in the lives of their children- yet some cringe at the nurturing aspects of our son’s behavior, and would deny them the chance to grow and express these emotions and instincts.

About a year ago, Little Man wanted a doll and carriage. We found him an all blue doll after quite a search, ordered online. His uncle made him a stroller, then found a gray carrier when he was out of state and got it for him (he has a good uncle!) I gave him a black diaper bag I had- it’s too big for him to really carry around, but he likes to play with it. It’s hard to find stuff for a sweet little boy who wants to play daddy! (Remember Baby GoGo [Read more…]

Reeds Natural Soda Review

Who loves being nauseous? Anyone? Not I! As a migraine sufferer, one of the things that can be the worst is the nausea that accompanies them. Reeds RX Natural Soda is made to combat nausea naturally. It is even safe for pregnant women (oh where were you 4 years ago, Reeds RX?) and children.
As luck would have it (or not! LOL) the day that the Reeds RX came, I was having an horrific migraine. I was vomiting, I was shaking, the whole 9 yards. I was laying in the bathroom on the floor when my husband came in to tell me I got a package. I’m thinking- and I care because why? He sits there, telling me what mail came, blah blah blah- I was too sick to tell him to be quiet and go away- and then he tells me that the package has Red Bull in it. I’m thinking “What? Red Bull?”
And he tells me, “oh, no- wait- it says Reeds Natural something, I don’t know, anyway”…
I shot my hand out and told him to give me one. He thought I was losing my mind, but I just left my hand out, so he gave it to me. (They do look a bit like Red Bull cans, haha)
The taste was terrible to me, I’m not going to lie. And it coated my whole mouth, tongue, and throat. I didn’t finish even half the can, just a few sips.
But- I felt better. And I stopped throwing up after about 20 minutes.
OKOK, I thought it was a fluke.
So, I left a can at work, and the rest at home. Two days ago, it was coming on. Migraine, complete with nausea. Took my meds. Nothing, it’s still coming, [Read more…]
