Cold Stone Creamery- CONTEST!!!

Who loves ice cream? Me too! Yeah yeah, so it’s 20 below outside- but that is not going to stop this lady from going at the ice cream! For me, ice cream is one of those “gotta have it” foods that I even eat (in moderation, of course!) while watching my weight- because sometimes you really just need to let yourself indulge in those little pleasures in life! You all know I am dieting right now, but a little fabulous ice cream is not going to kill me. (It didn’t! I’m still alive, and still losing weight!)

Cold Stone Creamery has some pretty cool stuff! From cakes to ice cream, their fantastic-ness is really unlimited. If you can think of it, chances are really good they will have it (and make it for you!) at Cold Stone Creamery.
Have you been? If you haven’t, then you should really find one near you and head on over. They let you choose the flavor of ice cream that you want, and then you choose if you would like “mix ins” (anything from candy to sprinkles to marshmallows) they just- well, they mix it in! LOL

And the cakes! Oy! So good. You can call ahead to customize any kind that you want, and they also have an awesome “ready to go” section that are waiting for you when you arrive!
We ended up reviewing the Cake Batter Confetti cake, because they were all out of the cuper cool Chocolate Loves Strawberry Valentine’s Day cakes that they had for Valentines Day- bummer! But, don’t worry- the cake was super fab!
It had red velvet cake and cake batter ice cream- and of course rainbow sprinkles!

My husband and his friend ate the entire other half of it (for real, half of it) the day after, LOL.
So, I think it’s safe to say they liked it?
The mix of ice cream and cake is interesting. Usually you get one or the other- or you can put the ice cream on top of the cake at a party, haha. But at Cold Stone Creamery, they do all the work for you- and you get a two-in-one!

Little Man of course liked it, haha. Cake? Ice cream? Together? Yeah, he was down, lol.
(He did an extra review- he also tried out the chocolate cake ice cream with marshmellows mixed in- just to make sure the ice cream is also good, LOL)
What do you think?

All in all, I’d say it was a sucessful day!
If you haven’t already- give Cold Stone Creamery a call and put in your order for your next cake. And if you would also like the chance to win a $30 gift card to check out all the fun that Cold Stone Creamery has to offer, here is how to enter!

Coldstone Valentine’s Day

Tell me THAT doesn’t make your mouth water? I put in an order for one, you know it! And tomorrow- since I love you so much, and Cold Stone Creamery is SO super awesome, I am going to have a gift card to giveaway!
But if you want to impress your Valentine (or Valentines, if you have little ones!) You are going to want to make sure that you have this cake on hand for your special day! (And come on! How good does that look!)
Sigh. Now I’m hungry…..

Apple Crisp

I love baking 🙂
It is one of my favorite things to do.
Concord Foods sent me this box of Apple Crisp to try out. I actually had never tried it before!

We were going to the local farmers market anyway (we go on weekends- you know how I feel about organic foods and local produce!) so we bought some great, farm-fresh apples to go into our Apple Crisp.

As you can see- Little Man is “helping” pick out produce, lol…
The Apple Crisp was SUPER EASY to make. All you needed was the Apple Crisp mix, butter, (mmmm, butter) and 6-8 fresh apples. You just mix the apples and butter together and sprinkle the Apple Crisp on top! Little Man helped- Kamikaze was at her friend’s house. That is how easy it was. And it was ready in just 25 minutes!

Here is Daddy and Little getting ready for the “eating” portion of the evening- no doubt everyone’s favorite part! I had tried to take a picture BEFORE they got into it- but you can see how well that worked out!!!
