Down Linens has the softest, most versatile Down Comforter that you can use for the entire year.
We were given the opportunity to try out the soft, warm and comfy All Season Down Comforter.
This Comforter may not be as heavy as a traditional winter comforter, but what it lacks in heft in gains in portability and less bulk and does not lack in warmth.  The all season comforter is enough to keep you warm through a  fall night or even a series of chilly days in the summer, much like the north-east just had between heat spells.  But still warm enough to keep you warm throughout the winter.

DownLinens has recently given me the opportunity to test drive their pillows, but with this came an important decision. What kind of pillow to get?

Upon initial searching, the options seem endless. But with a little homework and some consumer education, the options are quite easy to wade through. Let’s take a look at a few common differences in pillows. One of the biggest characteristics is the fill of the pillow. This is the material which is used to make the pillow more comfortable for the sleeper. The big categories are: down, feather and synthetic. Down is made of soft light feathers. Feather fill is a more firm and heavier type of feather. Synthetic fill can cover the whole gamete of firmness from down soft to foam firm. [Read more…]

Honeywell have been makers of fine electronics for years. Especially various air purifiers and cleaners. The new Air Genius 5 is one of their more recent additions to their product line up.

The Air Genius has a ton of nifty features but the two which caught my eye right away were cleanable filter and its quiet. In our house there some of us who suffer from allergies. In the Spring/Fall/ Summer we go through about a box of tissues a week.

These allergies are not only segregated to the outdoors. Indoor air quality also effects allergy sufferers as well. Pet hair, dust, pollen and mold spores can all be present in your home thus setting off an allergic reaction.

The Air Genius cleans the air with three stages of cleaning. Stage 1 is a pre-filter. Stage 2 is a permanent washable [Read more…]

BeforeAfter Wonderful WallsI have been in the process of redoing my 3 year olds room for quite awhile. I must admit that we waited to do her room until she was old enough to be able to take parting in putting it together. When we found the Spring Love Tree from My Wonderful Walls, I must admit that I knew that it would pull her entire room together.

About My Wonderful Walls:

My Wonderful Walls offers fabric wall sticker kits, full-room stencil kits, and color adjustable canvas art for decorating kid rooms and baby nurseries as well as an ever-growing line of products for older kids, teens, and adults.

All of the products are made in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

How-To Wall Sticker Kits:

The Wall Stickers fit much better if your walls have recently been painted, but are completely dry. However, if your walls don’t need painted, you can easily just make sure to wipe them down completely and then have them dry before you begin.

Once it is time for you to apply your stickers, it really truly is a very easy process. All you have to do is to carefully remove the stickers from the paper and place it on the wall. Work your hand gently across the sticker, and smooth it out as you make sure that it is firmly attached to the wall.

If you have larger stickers, it will be helpful for you to have someone to help you out so that the sticker does not get tangled together.

The stickers can easily be layered and overlapped together.

Miracle Gro into Spring

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Miracle-Gro for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Its Spring time, supposedly at least. This morning there was an article I saw about a winter storm to Minneapolis. Snow accumulation in May! If you are tired of the cold and the snow why not bring a little green into your day with The Gro Project .

The idea behind it, is easy, its time to green things up, one plant at a time and Miracle-Gro can help. With just a few small cacti, a fish bowl, some small plastic dinosaurs, small stones and Moisture Control Potting Mix its possible to make a nifty little Toyrarium. This project is both easy and good for kids to help with as well. The toyrarium is probably my favorite project and the most fun of the bunch. Once complete the toyrarium [Read more…]

5 Tips for Designing a Great Kids’ Bathroom

If you’re lucky, you live in a house that has enough bathrooms that you can give the kids their own, leaving one for you and hopefully at least a powder room for guests. But the standard bathroom simply isn’t designed to cater to people of small stature, such as children. In most cases, toilets, sinks, light switches, and even cabinets are out of reach for tiny fingers. And often, the color palette offered by tile on walls and flooring is a bit bland for kids, who are attracted by bright colors. In short, the bathroom can be a difficult place for kids to navigate. For this reason you may be interested in making over this space with a design that’s geared towards the wants, needs, and preferences of the younger members of your family. Here are just a few tips for catering to kids with your bathroom design.

Lower the bar. When it comes to quality, the average homeowner is always looking to raise the bar with renovations. But where the stature of bathroom furniture is concerned, you might be looking to literally lower the bar, which is to say the height of the counter. Now, your kids aren’t going to be little forever, and eventually you’ll want to sell your home, so you can’t exactly go for surfaces that a 3-year-old can reach with ease. That said, you also don’t have to include bathroom furniture designed for someone that’s six feet tall. Opt for something in between and [Read more…]

Over the years, things accumulate even if you aren’t a pack rat. One way to make more space is to get rid of the clothing you don’t need and the furniture that doesn’t have a purpose. You should focus on one room at a time, go through everything, and get rid of things that are creating clutter and taking up room. This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts Miracle-Gro for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Spring had just began, know what that means? It’s time to make that backyard your oasis and personal retreat. But in order to do that, you need to put in some work. Yes, yard work can be painful and arduous. But it can also be so rewarding as well. Nothing beats a delicious grilled dinner after a yard clean up day, or elaxing in with those you love in a place you love too.

Take a look at a few of these really nice yards.

I love the gazebo with all the difference foliage around it.
