My Little is a Fan, can you tell?
I am a bit strict with the TV, I don’t let my kids watch shows that I consider without value (either educational or social value, I don’t want them watching yuck).
I love Pocoyo, who teaches [Read more…]

Dishwasher and Laundry Safe Labels for Kids and Baby!

Hello everyone in Bloggy Land! It is review time! Today we are reviewing the labels by Applied Labels. These labels are good for many different uses including baby bottles. You can include the date on the bottle to keep bottle from getting mixed up and old milk being used for your little cuddles. They can also be used on a variety of cloth, some are even laundry safe for extended use. Both varieties are removable and can be put on any tag.

Another great feature of Applied Labels is they take special care of their clients who are in the daycare business. Realizing they are going to need labels quickly and in mass quantity. So they have a whole portion of their website dedicated to these brave individuals. There is also a special section for businesses to get personalized attention from their staff.

These labels went through the dishwasher and laundry and did an incredibly good job. I had even taken a label off of an item then reapplied the label.  The item then went through the dishwasher and held its ground. Great adhesive!!

Personalized Kids Labels

Today I am reviewing a great product called Oliver’s labels. They have all kinds of colorful and cute designs and patterns, everything from sea life, to outer space, to London carnations.  Different!  And a mommy can never have too many labels- kids loose everything!

Also, these labels come in an assortment of shapes and sizes. Including original size, 50mm x 20mm, 2″ x 3/4″, these are great for sippy cups, toys, lunch boxes, etc. The next size they have is mini, 50mm x 7mm, 2″ x 1/4″ which fit great on pencils, pens, scissors. These are perfect for the little ones who continually argue over whose safety scissors are whose. They also have shoe labels, 50mm x 26mm, 2″ x 1″. These are slightly bigger then the originals and come in pairs to fit the inside bottom of little shoes better. If you have little boys who like to throw their stuff in a big pile when friends are over, these work great. Next up are their newest products- Photo labels! No, these aren’t labels that go on photos, but actual labels with photos on them.  (hehe)  They are 50mm x 50mm, 2″ x 2″. You pick the picture and the design and they make super tough photo stickers for you. They can go anywhere from the microwave to the playground.

Overall these labels are of good quality and stand up to the test of little ones quite well. Even the husband couldn’t destroy them.  Now that says something!

Holiday Gift Guide- HearthSong On the Go Animals Review and GIVEAWAY!!!

I should really add a tab on top that says “Little Man’s Favorites” or “Little Man approved” , and good grief, would these be high on the list!

Hearthsong, maker of adorable and affordable children’s products, has sent us these adorable “On the Go Animals” for review.  We chose “puppy”, because as you know, Little is obsessed!  He literally shook when he opened the box, he was so excited!  I love them because they are easy to take along with us anywhere.  Little loves them for that reason, as well as because- well, he loves them!
They are soft, cute, and easy to store.  And did I mention affordable?
Yes, that too!  The set?  $21.98!!!  (And shipping is only $4.99 with the code HSHRP3)
Hello!  Great buy.  That’s the normal price too, not on sale or anything.  If you buy two, you get a discount as well.  Hooray!

The kids at the Pre-K loved them as well.
Little was a bit greedy with them at first (he is only 3!) but after a few minutes he was sharing nicely.  Hey, it’s hard to share something that cute!

As you can see, they are a hit!

I can say that I would buy this toy in an instant.  I think they are cute, fun to give and receive, affordable, and EASY to care for, keep track of, and carry along (think show and tell, trips to grandma’s, vacation, etc).
2 Sippy’s up, LOL.

Beauty and The Waist- want to lose 2 sizes in 10 minutes?

I have a GOOD ONE for this time of year!!!  (or any time of year, LOL)
So, if you are like me (and about half of the country!)  you have a few pounds you would like to see gone.  Yes?  Ok, friends, read on!
So, Beauty and the Waist has this SUPER fab product, called “Body Magic“.  It is aw-some!  I looked better then I have in 3 years!

I have, what I like to call, “Body by Baby”.  Pre-Little Man, I had a waist.  And Body Magic found it!  LOL.  (The top is cut out, the bra is your own, so you know it will fit you!  It might look light it’s all one piece, but nay, nay!  This is great, because we all have different sized chests, and now there is something we can all wear!)

It was not easy to get into the first time, but I do have to say that once it was on, it looked great and I looked good in my clothes!  Ah, the price of beauty, haha.  It did take some getting used to, but the more you wear it, the more you get used to it.  And as a bonus, besides looked great, it helps you actually lose weight!  You will notice that you can move the clasps in as you use it, due to weight loss.  Also, it helps improve posture and strengthens core muscles.
There are great lines for men and women- if you want less support, or different support, there is something for everyone.  A few things I thought some of you may be interested in are the

Postpartum  and Pregnancy Girdles– who can’t use more support when pregnant, and who doesn’t want to
“go back to normal” as quickly as possible?
Another great option is the “T-Shirt Light”- helps keep you smooth and even, with less support then the Body Magic

I also was able to try out the Le Vive Super Juice!

High in antioxidants, the health benefits are thought to be anti-aging!  (Yay!)  I tried all 3 flavors, and they are pretty good!  For real.  The green one is not for everyone, though, and I thought it tasted a bit like NiQuil, haha.  But the blue and red ones are great!

Keeps skin and hair healthy, builds the immune system, maintains a healthy blood pressure, controls your blood sugar level, helps lose weight, improves digestion, prevents gastritis reflux and ulcers, improves your memory, keeps joints flexible and healthy, prevents respiratory conditions and maintains overall good health.

I can honestly say they were good.
I would totally and honestly recommend the  Body Magic and Le’ Vive.
It would be great to look fabulous at all the holiday parties this year (and think of any reunions coming up!  We all want to look good for those!)
If you have any questions about these great products, or any others, please feel free to contact Barbra Charles, at 732-586-0926 or beautyandthewaist@earthlink.net .  Click on any link above to go right to the website and see the great products she has to offer!  Happy Shopping!  (and this is perfect for supporting small businesses for “Small Business Saturday” tomorrow, yay! )

Holiday Gift Guide- ImagiPLAY- Review and GIVEAWAY!!!

Earth Friendly Toys with a mission! Helping children learn to love the earth and grow their imagination while helping build the desire to learn and explore.  Whew, there is a lot if expectations placed on ImagiPLAY‘s toys!  (good thing they deliver!)
These eco-friendly toys are also Fair Trade!  Yay for ImagiPLAY!! I love companies that care!  Ok, those are things that I love.  Does Little Man or his Pre-K friends understand how awesome all that is? No, not so much.  (But he will someday, and the world thanks you for taking care of it!)  What they loved was how super cute and awesome the toys are!  We were sent the playset A Day On The Farm to review- how awesome!

The kids went bananas!  We brought it out to dinner with us, because it came as we were going out the door.  There was NO WAY Little was going to be leaving without it!  So, it came along…It was a good way to keep him quiet at dinner!  I didn’t take out all the pieces there, but you can see that he was absorbed, LOL.

We also brought it to the Pre-School.  What a great place to see what the kids really think of something!  Can I tell you, they about lost their minds!  I brought it out for my early AM kids first, and they kept it out for the whole morning.  That is rare in the Pre-K.  Things rarely keep attention spans longer then 20 minutes.

They all spent time playing with it….

and one of the kids brought over a few extra animals (so everyone could play).

They had so much fun with it!
We brought it back every day that week.  We will bring it back for “Farm Animals Week” as well  🙂

Holiday Gift Guide- It’s Hip Hop Baby- Review and Giveaway!!!!

It’s Hip Hop Baby has a new CD out- Fruit!  This mom wanted to help her son learn faster, and felt that music and movement was the way to go!  As a Pre-School teacher, I feel that music and movement is an important part of learning, and a fun way for kids to learn, grow, exercise, and express themselves.  I personally use Music and Movement several times a week and the kids love it.  I introduced It’s Hip Hop Baby! to them recently, and some of them really liked it.  I did notice that they boys seemed to like it more then the girls, but that could just be a fluke!  My Little Man didn’t really seem too enthused, but Kamikaze liked it, so go figure, haha.  One of the kids took it home overnight, and tonight another one is “borrowing” it.  So I would have to say that is a good sign.
This is not my favorite kids album, but the kids do seem to like it.  Albums where kids sing are not typically albums that I just love, and I don’t love repetitive beats.  Also, the younger kids seem to like it more then the older ones, typically.  However there are exceptions to this- as in my daughter.  She (at 6) likes it more then Little Man, who is only 3.  Children’s music and CD’s are made for little ears and preferences, so it should not come as a shock when adults don’t love them all.  As long as the kids like it, then I’m happy.  The CD is longer then many kids CDs, so you won’t need to keep changing the disc or hitting replay, which is a bonus.
Hm, considering that it is a very long weekend, what would we say are the chances he will bring the CD back on Monday?  LOL, lets hope he does!
It’s Hip Hop Baby! has offered one of Have Sippy Will Travel’s readers a copy of the new CD, Fruit

Toy Story 3 On Ice!!! Live Show Review!

Last night we saw Toy Story 3 On Ice, a Feld production! I can’t tell you how great it was, but I am going to try, LOL….First- there was no place that you could sit at the IZOD in East Rutherford that you did not have a good view of the show. (By the way, shout out to IZOD- everyone was super-nice, even the parking attendants were helpful and smiled when they spoke to us! Thanks for your great hospitality!) While we were waiting, of course there were a million people walking around with souvenirs, snacks, and fun stuff like that! They were priced like you would expect them to be, but not QUITE as much as some places. For an example- we bought Little Man an Alien Sno Cone and it was 10$. for 12$, I would say no way, but for 10$, OK. The cotton candy with Alien Hat was the same price, as was the Jesse Sno Cone. The toys were priced 12$ and up, T-Shirts were 20 and up. So now you know!
The programs were so cute, Kamikaze can’t wait to show her’s to everyone at her school.
I appreciate that they give you plenty of warning when the show was about to begin, so you can get back from the bathroom and also just get ready and into your seat! When the show started, who was first out onto the ice? Micky, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy! Little about lost his mind!!!  He was so happy to see them, and was not expecting to, so it was a pleasant surprise.

(guys, can you please forgive my lousy camera work? I don’t know what was up with my camera last night, but I’m so sorry! At least you get the idea!) The foursome was a happy surprise, and I also loved that they introduced the Toy Story 3 On Ice show, giving a brief explanation of events and leading us into Andy’s room!

Poor Andy, about to go away to college. He has to figure out what to do with his beloved toys! As the toys worry about their fate, there are many “flashback” songs that remind us of their journey. The performers are skilled, and you can see their facial expressions even from far away! They did some pretty wild stunts and tricks, and I have to say I was impressed by the skills of these skaters for a children’s performance. No cutting corners there! (Barbie and Buzz were crazy good! Not that the others weren’t, they were just super in my opinion.) As intermission gets closer, the toys are clearly going to be headed to (gulp) a day care facility. What’s in store for them?
After intermission, the toys find out that the day care is not going to be for them. The children, who have to be larger then the adult performers, are skillfully wielded across the stage and “play” with the toys to “Leave Me Alone” as the toys are tossed about. (Can I tell you how much I personally enjoyed the music in the show? I did!) I was wondering how they were going to pull that off, and kudos to whoever was creative enough for that one! The toys did not like being handled so roughly, and begin to plan their escape back to Andy’s. All except Woody, who is already on his way! Once Sheriff Woody hears of the trouble his friends are facing, he rushes back to save the day. Along with Barbie, he finds a way to free them all from the day care prison (which I as a Pre-K teacher find personally amusing!) and back to Andy’s.
Did you see the movie? Do you know the ending? If you don’t, I won’t spoil it for you.
But I do want to say it was an excellent show, with paratroopers coming down from the ceiling, an appearance from “The Claw”, a super cute Alien dance (one of my favorite numbers!) and a really fab musical score. This is an A+ performance, totally worth the time and money. My kids loved it! I would totally recommend it, and Little was telling all the kids about Toy Story 3 On Ice today at school!
