Fun Festivals in New York

While traveling to or living in New York, you may be looking for some fun things to do. New York has a wide variety of sights to see and activities to take part in. On top of all of these things, New York also hosts a great number of fun festivals to go to.

Electric Zoo
This is a music festival that is quite popular. It is held in Randall’s Island Park in New York and has five stages going with great acts. Some of the live music and DJs that will be playing are Tiesto, Diplo, and David Guetta. This year it runs from August 30th through September 1st. BAM Next Wave Festival
The Next Wave Festival begins September 17th and runs through December 22nd. It is a great place to go to see theater, dance, music, and more. There are a wide variety of performers that will be participating in this festival, including Anna Nicole, David Dorfman Dance, The Forsythe Company, Reggie Wilson/Fist & Heel Performance Group, and so much more. The price for each depends on the performance, but the general price ranges from $20 to $235.

Columbus Day Parade
The Columbus Day Parade is held on October 14th. There are roughly 35,000 floats and marchers within this parade, and it often has roughly one million people that come out to watch. It is a great way to celebrate Christopher Columbus and the day he landed in the Americas. It is free for anyone that would like to watch it.
