On September 7, Thomas the Tank Engine left the Island of Sodor to explore the world in his all- new movie “Thomas & Friends: Big World! Big Adventures!”  In addition to the new movie, “Thomas & Friends: Big World! Big Adventures! The Series” made its debut on September 17th.  In honor of Thomas and his travels we decided to throw Thomas a farewell party.

About the Movie:

Thomas leaves Sodor to fulfil his dream of seeing the world. This heroic quest takes Thomas across deserts, through jungles and over dangerous mountains as he travels across five continents seeing sights he has never seen before.

Thomas & Friends is a classic that never gets old. My oldest is 11 and my youngest is 2; and all four of my children love Thomas. As a mom, I love it too. I honestly didn’t think I could love it more, but I do. It’s packed full of important lessons from never giving up to telling the truth. The new series focus on encouraging kids to take adventures and empowering girls; which, I have to admit is a huge plus for this mom of two girls. I always tell them they could do anything as long as they put their mind to it and this new series will encourage that as well.

For the big night, a couple of the kids’ friends gathered to watch the new series and movie debut. We had some yummy popcorn, fruit snacks, and fruit punch (we kept it a little light since it was just about dinner time). After the movie the kids enjoyed putting the train track together and making up the different adventures the little engines encountered.

Happy Birthday Thomas & Friends!

The end of the school year is here, and there is no better way to celebrate than with a wholesome party for the kids featuring everyone’s favorite train, Thomas! We had the chance to throw a one of a kind Thomas party for the kids and a few friends, and it was so much fun! We were literally chugging away towards making memories to last for a long time! This post is a sponsored post, but all opinions, stories, and my experience are all personal and true (like always)!

All we needed was some fun themed supplies, like these cute cups and napkins, and a few boxes of crayons to accompany the great coloring sheets. With some snacks and drinks, toys to explore and Thomas in the background, everyone had a lot of fun. It was a welcome chance for everyone to blow off a little steam after the end of the year rush!

We weren’t just celebrating the end of the year, Did you know that on May 12th Thomas had a special birthday? For more than 73 years Thomas has been delighting kids and inspiring a love of learning as well as a good set of values to carry them through life!

Sometimes it can be hard to find television shows for children that are mommy approved, but I never have to worry about that with Thomas the Train! All four of my little ones enjoy watching Thomas. Thomas teaches and reinforces valuable life lessons while entertaining them at the same time, so this mommy definitely approves of Thomas! With May being his birthday month, we have had the chance to focus on the joy Thomas has brought to our family over the years. From building Thomas creations with legos to coloring to watching him on TV, we have had a great time celebrating with Thomas!

Thomas the Train has been around for a long time. He has been delighting pre-schoolers and young kids on TV with Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends since the late 70’s so many of use share what we enjoyed as children with our own. My son  thinks anytime is Thomas Time, and he really enjoys the Day Out With Thomas that comes through our local train station every year.

Day Out With Thomas is a fun, family activity where kids can do interactive activities with their favorite tank engine and even meet Sir Toppum Hatt, who runs Thomas’ station. It’s amazing to see kid’s eyes light up when their favorite book and TV characters comes to life right in front of them. My son always has a blast.

Thomas The Tank Engine is a perfect way to let your little one enjoy wholesome,  educational entertainment that delights both boys and girls.

There are so many times when Thomas the Tank Engine can come into your child’s life. Anywhere from story-time to learning time and even nap time with his favorite Thomas the Tank Engine toys and games, so really, any time is Thomas time.
