Here’s a good dry rub recipe, I’ve used it on tons of grilling food and love it. Simple, easy, but not the best picture though, sorry about that, I can’t make ribs look good. LOL

This is a super simple, super easy never fail dry rub recipe that I was given years ago. I add and subtract ingredients though just to change things up now and again. Perfect for summer and even better perfect for Father’s day! I have used this on all kinds of meat though I don’t like it on fish. We used this on spare ribs this past week and cooked them for a few hours till the meat just fell right off the bones, hard to complain about that!

Dry Rub Ingredients

8 tablespoons light brown sugar tightly packed

3 tablespoons kosher salt

1 tablespoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper (or peppercorns)

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon thyme (crushed)

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 garlic powder

Directions

Mix all ingredients together and seal in container or zip lock bag.

Rub onto your meat of choice and cook to the correct temperature of meat. Our Spare Ribs took two hours at 320F. I love using this rub on chicken the most and grilling it. Use it on anything you have on hand, grilling it on my gas grill, bake it, cook it on the stove the choice is yours!

Enjoy!
