Miraclesuit- the bathing suit for those of us who need some help ;)

Who loves shopping for swimsuits!  Ok, me neither!  LOL
As you know, I just lost 23 lbs, with more to go- and I am in the market for a new, fun bathing suit.  While I am not yet thrilled with my body, it is a work in progress, and I am going to work what I have!  However, I am not one to turn down a minor miracle when it comes to looking fabulous.  Miraclesuit, of course!  The miracle being that it makes you appear 10 pounds thinner when you put it on.  Hmmm, maybe I should start wearing it to work….hahaha.
What do you think?  Va-voom, right?  It is called Rialto.

Ok, I may not be a covergirl, but whatevs, I think it’s doing it’s job quite well.  I wish it had bigger breast cups, but that is a problem I have with at least 80% of swimsuits.  Never enough coverage for bigger chested gals!  But the Rialto by Miraclesuit does better then some others have, so I give it that.  I love the color, too- we all know every girl needs at least one pair of red shoes, and I think we may all need a red bathing suit, as well…it’s so much fun to wear.

I reviewed the Breeze Envy Push Up® One Piece in size L, and YAY because I can finally fit into a Large!  LOL.  Well…most of me could  🙂

These bathing suits were not made for ladies like me with large chests, sooooo…….one of my best friends is going to be the model.  My pictures are NOT family friendly, LOL.  The suit was so pretty, I was sorry to see it go- but really happy for my friend, who needed a new bathing suit.  I was hoping for the “shaping” aspect of the bathing suit- but my girlfriend looks fantastic!

Aetrex- the most amazing shoe store

I just came back from the Grand Opening of the Aetrex shoe store in Englewood, NJ.  It’s a concept store that lets customers enjoy the healthiest shoes on the market.  I know, that sounds REALLY weird- but think about it- how happy are you when your feet are miserable?  These shoes are fashion forward, comfortable, and good for your body.  Don’t worry- you will get a whole post about them soon- I just wanted to give you a little update and let you know where I am this evening  🙂    Plus, I was really impressed, and wanted to give show you their site ASAP!

Getting a Workout through Everyday Chores

Everyone wants to be healthier. Finding time to go to the gym can be difficult though, especially if you have other errands and chores you need to get done. Many people buy a gym membership on New Years, but by the time February has rolled around, they have already forgotten about it. Many people bought Wii Fits only to find out that other things began taking priority. If this sounds familiar, it might be time for a lifestyle change.
You don’t need to necessarily find time to go to the gym, but if you turn your everyday routines into a workout, you will have a better chance at seeing some results. Here are some things you can do to feel the burn while taking care of your daily tasks.
  1. Laundry – Turn regular laundry into a workout when you incorporate squats. Rather than dumping your entire basket into the top at once, do a squat to grab one piece of laundry at a time from your basket on the floor. If you have twenty or so pieces of laundry, you can build up your leg muscles in no time.
  2. Kitchen floors – It’s tempting to pull out the Swiffer mop, but resist the urge. Get down on your hands and knees for a better workout and a cleaner floor. Cleaning your floor by hand can burn 400 calories, and while you’re at it, you can do some stretches.
  3. Vacuuming – Do lunges while vacuuming your carpet. Each time you pull back to go over an area for the second time, switch legs so that you get an equal workout. These lunges are also a good idea while you are sweeping or raking leaves. Vacuuming can burn around 480 calories for the average woman, so make those minutes count.
  4. Grocery shopping – Speed walk down the grocery store aisles. Not only will this save you time in the store, but you can get in a little cardio exercise. Just make sure you check around corners before you barrel your way around them, since you could create a traffic accident if you aren’t careful. When you are putting the groceries away, do a squat to reach from the bag on the floor to the counter above you.
  5. Rearrange furniture – Whether you move the furniture to vacuum under it or you simply want a new look, rearranging furniture can give you the weights exercise you need. Make sure you have good form before pushing the couch out of the way, but don’t feel like you need to call for backup whenever you get the urge to change up the decor.
  6. Stairs – Whenever you need to go upstairs (or downstairs) take the stairs twice. Try running up and down them if you don’t want to take the extra time but you want to get in the workout.
It’s hard to find time to go to the gym, but you can burn quite a few calories simply by doing your everyday chores differently. If you make excuses to lift more and move more, you’ll be on the right track toward a healthier lifestyle.

Smushees Review

Smushees are great for hanging out around the house.  They are totally comfortable, they are better then bare feet after a rotten day of being on your feet, chasing kids around or in heels at the office.  They are not the most attractive of shoes, I personally can’t see myself wearing them out and about, LOL, but for the 10 million things you do during the day at home or around it- these are really comfy.  And we can’t always be running around barefoot, so these are the next best thing.  The Smushees sandal is actually a nice relief to wear after you take your shoes off.  It is a nice cushion- I am guessing that is where they got the name from  🙂  Smushees contain polystyrene micro-beads to help them conform to your foot as you walk, which is super comfy, and  since it has a rubber sole, you can wear it outside if you are going to grab the mail or the kids from school or something.  It has only gotten warm enough to wear them in the past week or so, but I know I will be wearing them a lot this summer.  I am on my feet all day, like a lot of you- I really don’t sit much.  In fact, the only time I am sitting is when I am typing on the bloggy, LOL.
Sigh. 
But they are cool to have waiting for you when you get home.  Like a slipper, but more functional  🙂
(They would make a good Mother’s Day gift, especially if you are making a little “pamper yourself” basket or something cute like that.  PERFECT addition.)
