My latest #Weightloss on @Nutrisystem #NSNation

It’s been a good week here, staying-on-my-diet-wise, LOL.
This week I lost 1 pound, which is OK. I was loosing a lot at first, and now it has started to taper off a bit. That is partially my fault, but I am still very active and only had the one week where I cheated ( I am not counting the “flood” weeks where I lost my Nutrisystem food LOL). But I seem to be slowing down on the weight loss a bit. I think tomorrow I should call the customer service line and see if there is a way to get over this little hump.

Something fabulous? This week I put on, zipped up, and looked great in the first pair of size 12s I have bought since my son was conceived, LOL. WOOT! And I got a few new shirts as well. It’s a start! I have about 30 more pounds to go, and I know I will get there. Hopefully [Read more…]

Member’s Mark 4X Probiotic- Good for Your Body! #Health #Fitness @SamsClub

So you all know how much I love probiotics.  It is a necessary part of our busy lives in this modern world.  Eating right unfortunately isn’t always the easiest especially with little ones and there are lots on ingredients in our foods where we aren’t quite sure what they are.

You all know I am the organic food nut, but even I need a little help digestive-ly sometimes. A bit more then a week ago I started using Member’s Mark 4X Probiotic Digestive Care Supplement.  These pills are taken once daily and will help regulate your digestive system.  They contain 4 strains of bacteria, the good kind that will help balance out your digestive system, not hurt you.  The bacteria are Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium lactis, Bifidobacterium longum, and Bifidobacterium bifidum.

Quite the mouthful, I am thankful the pills are smaller then the ingredients’ names.  When starting to take these, as with all probiotics, keep in mind it will take a few days for your body to regulate and get the a healthy state.  You might be…. well more “auditory” for a day or so, but after that your ‘gut’ will thank you.  This was via my husband, I have been on other probiotics for over a year now.

There are lots of recent studies out there touting the need for a healthy gut and 4X is another way to get you to that state.  Some of the advantages of this brand are the dosage, once daily is very nice and also the packets by week is a  nice touch, great for leaving in a desk at work and taking with lunch or breakfast also the amount of bacteria per pill is quite a bit more then other brands of probiotics.  You all realize i have a favorite brand of probiotics but Member’s Mark is a good substitute if you aren’t able to find them. 😉  These are available at Sam’ s Club!

    Nutrisystem Nation- Update Week 8

Hey all you weight loss buddies- it’s that time again. I wanted to show you my new NutriBear! He represents my 20 pound weight loss on Nutrisystem. Yay!!! (And the crowd goes wild! Well, OK- not the crowd, but maybe my computer chair, at least, LOL.)
He is relaxing on my pillow after a hard day of motivating me NOT to eat all the brownies I baked for my husband and kids.  He did a great job!

This week- I have nothing new to share with you. No gains, no losses. I have done nothing to shout about. However, this is most likely my own fault, since I had a minor meltdown and I ate a cheesecake last week. Not a piece. Like, the whole thing. It was in my fridge, and I have not cheated….but then I ate a freaking cheesecake. Yes. I said that. I admit it. So is there some kind of an “Oh my gosh, you are a pig” shirt I should wear or something? I mean for real- EW, who does that? I ate it throughout the day, and while I felt minor-ly guilty, I have to say the large part of me just didn’t even care. Like many of you, I am a comfort food eater, and right now we are our own demolition crew (Thanks Irene!) for our ruined house, and my dog has cancer, and my job is driving me to tears just about daily- and you know what? I ate a cheesecake. And I will live.

At least I stayed on the diet the rest of the time. And since I did, I didn’t GAIN any weight, so I will take it. Sometimes, you just have to go with it. I am under a tremendous amount of stress right now (dealing with loss of house, possessions, cleanup and demolition, contractors, insurance people that are not helpful, FEMA, government agencies, a dog with cancer, a job from hades, etc- so I am so not going to beat myself up for this. It happens, and next week- moving on! This week will be better. I am looking forward to my 30 pound bear one of these weeks!

I have to say, this diet works. I have struggled with my weight all my life, even as a competitive athlete in my teens I had to really WORK to keep the weight off. If you stick to it, you will lose weight on Nutrisystem.
Have a good week, and I will let you know how this week goes.

Back in the Saddle with #NutrisystemNation

OK, so I am back in the saddle, so to speak, with Nutrisytem.   Now that I have gotten the food back, and gotten back on the diet, I am down another 1.2 lbs this week.  I have now lost over 20 pounds since on Nutrisystem.  I have another 40 to go- so wish me luck!  LOL  (It has been 5 weeks “for real” on the program- with 2 weeks that I was not able to be on it due to loss of the food and the flooding.)

One of the things that was interesting about this whole experience of flooding, was the clothes thing.  As you know, I lost most of my clothes and shoes.  But a few things were saved, and some of them are clothes I can now zip up!  I may not look GOOD in them- but I have not zipped up a size 12 in nearly 5 years!  WhooHoo!  🙂  I took a photo last night, I will post it for you later in the week.

I have learned now what I like and what I don’t, and have decided to stick to mostly the “bar” options for lunch.  Those are mostly good- and I can’t say that I like any of the lunch options other then those.  But the bars are good, and since they are candy-ish, it gives me the feeling of eating junk food, which clearly I like, haha.

They have these really great Women’s Plans , as well as vegetarian plans, and a plan for just about every other kind of diet I can think of.  You can even go to the Menu tab and see how each food is rated  🙂  And the pizza is always good .

    Nutrisystem Nation- Update

So, as I am sure you have all most likely guessed, I have not been on my Nutrisystem these past 2 weeks.  With the flood ruining my home and belongings, and the loss of power, the food was ruined anyway.  Not that I could have been microwaving any of it anyway, LOL, or that weight loss was really on my mind a WHOLE lot, but hey- you can bet I was REALLY exercising!  Nothing like moving mattresses, couches, toys, weight benches, washing machine, etc and your entire wardrobe up a few flights of stairs and out to the curb to burn up some calories!  😛

So, I was working my muscles, but not eating the Nutrisystem, as it was just not possible.  The good news?  I just got the shipment of the shelf stable foods today, so I can start again tomorrow.  And I plan to.  With all that is going on that I can’t control, it will be nice to have control of my diet again at least.  My current weight is down 2.2 lbs from the last update that I gave you, but that is not a huge surprise, figuring how much physical activity I have been doing.  Total weight loss is now just over 19 pounds.

Tomorrow I begin again.  Hey!  Now that all my clothes are trashed anyway, it gives me a great reason to try even harder- I need to get all new clothes anyway, may as well look fab in them, right?  LOL
I did save my FAVORITE gray dress and a few other pieces- so a few things I can look forward to wearing.  AND I put on a pair of jeans I have not worn in years.  I still have a ways to go.  I’ll get there.

See you next week with a proper update!  🙂

    Nutrisystem Nation- Week 2

Hey there, bloggy buddies- update time!
So, week 2 is over, and I am thus far down a total of 14 pounds.  I lost 10 the first week, and four this week.  So far, I have not cheated- until tonight, which was a “planned cheat”- I prepared for it, spoke to Nutrisystem and asked for the best way to deal with a dinner out, when I had no intention on eating 2 ounces of tuna and a salad or something, LOL- I wanted to eat!  Not pig out- just eat.

The service was great- I told them what I planned on eating, and at what time- and they helped me adjust my food for the day, and add a little workout time.  Also, they said that the different food, sodium, and carbs will fluctuate my weight, but will go away in a day or two as long as I stick to the diet again.  It’s all gravy!  Sometimes, you just have to eat.

I just got my frozen foods on Monday- and I like them a lot.  The pizzas are pretty good.  I maintain that breakfast and dessert are almost all good- there are only a few I have not liked.  Lunch….oy, lunch!  Dinners are touch and go- some are pretty good, some, not so much.  But I think one needs to play around a bit to see what they like.

All in all- while I am still adjusting to the food, I am eating better- more fresh fruit and veggies as well!- and I am losing weight.  That’s the whole point, right?  And I got a surprise- a NutriBear!  It’s a little bear that marks my first 10 pound loss.  What a great surprise!  And I feel like I earned it, too     🙂
