Cradle Rock Review And Giveaway

Hey there Bloggy Buddies, and a happy Tuesday to you all!!!
I have a giveaway for you today, from Cradle Rock!

This cute collection of CD’s came out with the first of 3 albums October 26th of 2010.  Kenny Chesney wash the first, with Michal Jackson and Johnny Cash rounding them out!

The kids liked them during naptime.  They especially liked Michael Jackson- Go figure!

There are more CDs in the works,Cradle Rock albums in development include U2’s “The Joshua Sleep Tree,” Black Eyed Peas’ “Sleep-pea Hits” as well as lullaby albums inspired by Nickelback, Carrie Underwood and The Eagles to name a few.

From Cradle Rock-
“David Williams, president of Tree Top Records and executive producer, says “Thrillaby” is based on Michael Jackson’s Thriller and follows the famous album’s track listing from start to finish. “’Thrillaby’ is the perfect introduction to one of the greatest albums ever recorded, complete with irresistible melodies from the ‘King of Pop.’” The Kenny Chesney collection is stacked with number one singles, “Including the soothing, country hits representing his greatest work,” says Williams. Johnny Cash fans will appreciate lullabies based on American Records’ “The Legend of Johnny Cash, Volume One.” “Even though this project features ‘greatest hits’, it focuses on a period of recordings Cash did with legendary producer Rick Rubin,” adds Williams.

Dating back to ancient cultures, science demonstrates the importance of lullabies in the development of children. “Babies are actually born with a basic sense of timing, rhythm and tone,” says producer Stephen Gause, “which is why soothing lullabies help speed up the process of falling asleep.” Gause says the albums are for true and dedicated music fans who want to share popular music with their children. “Cradle Rock” albums, distributed by The Warner Music Group, will be available at http://www.cradlerockstore.com/, through all digital distribution services like iTunes for $9.99, and at music retail outlets across the United States for $11.98.”

CIRQUE DE LA SYMPHONIE PERFORMS WITH THE RHODE ISLAND PHILHARMONIC POPS
Francisco Noya, conductor
The Providence Performing Arts Center
October 30, 2010 at 7P
The Providence Performing Arts Center and the Rhode Island Philharmonic are pleased to announce that Georgia-based CIRQUE DE LA SYMPHONIE will bring the magic of the circus (“cirque”) to the Theatre on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 7P. Children are more than welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to the show!
Conductor Francisco Noya said, “We are very excited to present CIRQUE here in Providence. Orchestras across the country rave about the amazing skills of the CIRQUE performers and how much the audience loves them. This concert will be fantastic for everyone in the family, and we look forward to a very full house!”
CIRQUE DE LA SYMPHONIE is a visual and auditory experience, combining the artistry of aerial dancers and acrobats and the “stunning” (Providence Journal) Rhode Island Philharmonic POPS. The CIRQUE performers, who the Orange County Registrar called “an amazing troupe of acrobats,” include:
Alexander Strelstov, a Russian aerial artist; he soars out over the audience with the help of aerial silks, which allow a performer to twist and spiral in and out of positions, and also performs with spinning cubes.
Christine Van Loo, an acrobatic gymnast who performs on the aerial hoop, the duo trapeze, and aerial silks.
Vladimir Tsarkov, who mixes mime and juggling feats.
Elena Tsarkova, known as “The Lady in White;” she combines contortion, balance, and dance.
The artists’ performances are uniquely adapted to stage accommodations shared with the symphony, and [Read more…]

It’s a Pillow! It’s a Pet! It’s a Pillow Pet Review and Giveaway!!!

It’s a Pillow! It’s a Pet! It’s a Pillow Pet Review and Giveaway!!!
Yay!

Who doesn’t love Pillow Pets? They are so super-cute. As a woman who puts 20+ kids for a nap during the weekdays (jealous???) as well as my own kids’ nap and bedtime routines- ANYTHING that will make sleep seem like fun is A-ok with me! Need something to keep your little ones in their own bed? A travel buddy for the car, plane, and hotel? Try Pillow Pets!

Here is what Pillow Pets has to say;
“Since 2003, My Pillow Pets have been bringing smiles to faces of all ages. The concept for the snuggly companions was the brainchild of a San Diego-based mother of two, who had grown tired of picking up stuffed animals strewn about her children’s rooms. What began with the simple goal of transforming a traditional stuffed animal into a functional item for children has grown into an amazing jungle of popular products.
Although My Pillow Pets was initially a collection of just six different animals, our selections continues to multiply. My Pillow Pets is committed to manufacturing our products to superior standards, using only the highest quality materials and processes.”

And they are all just cuter then the next! Little Man, who naps at our school every day, chose Snuggly Puppy to be his pet. (It was hard to choose, he spent a while looking!)

The kids loved him as much as Little Man did- two kids already had a Pillow Pet, and when they saw Little with Snuggly Puppy, they wanted to bring theirs in as well! Two more saw all the Pillow Pets on parade at school, and got good ‘ol mom to get one for them.

Little Man was so excited when his Pillow Pet came!

Daddy’s Corner- PlayStation Move!

Hey and welcome to Daddy’s Corner!
Today I am going to review the Playstation move. I recently received a party pack from house party. Thank you very much. In this pack there were 2 move controllers a Playstation eye and 2 games eyepet and start the party. I love most my Playstation 3 and have to say it has impressed me at every turn. So I was hoping for something incredible with move. When I received the package int he mail the kids went nuts, I have been talking about the Eyepet for a while showing them videos and advertisements. They had been talking about it almost non stop to kids and school and anyone else in the general area. Upon opening the controllers I found they fit my hand quite well. In shape it is similar to a newly designed water bottle with an ice cream scoop on the top. In weight it had some density to it but not much more then a tv remote, not heavy at all but fells well built. Set up was easy and pretty self explanatory, set up the camera on top/underneath the tv, we chose underneath. Then pair the controllers with your console (plug a usb cable into the controller then into the front of the console. Easy breezy. The main reason I am so excited for the move is the eyepet so i popped that in first while the kids weren’t around so I could find out how cool this little guy really is. The game is an interactive digital pet who you can play with, feed, bath teach tricks and nurture. In my house he is called a monkey but he looks like a cross between a monkey, a dog and a gnome. You can use the controller to act as various items for use with your eyepet including a treat dispenser, a shower head, and hope for him to jump through and a trampoline. The little guy also responds to your hand gestures. IF you wave your hand above where his head is he will jump up trying [Read more…]
