Cradle Rock Review And Giveaway

Hey there Bloggy Buddies, and a happy Tuesday to you all!!!
I have a giveaway for you today, from Cradle Rock!


This cute collection of CD’s came out with the first of 3 albums October 26th of 2010.  Kenny Chesney wash the first, with Michal Jackson and Johnny Cash rounding them out!

The kids liked them during naptime.  They especially liked Michael Jackson- Go figure!

There are more CDs in the works,Cradle Rock albums in development include U2’s “The Joshua Sleep Tree,” Black Eyed Peas’ “Sleep-pea Hits” as well as lullaby albums inspired by Nickelback, Carrie Underwood and The Eagles to name a few.

Holiday Gift Guide- Baby Gogo Review

 I am so happy to be able to share Baby GoGo with you.  This is a really great product.  Not only is it really sweet and cute, not to mention well made, but it’s message is fantastic. 

 This cute baby doll, Baby GoGo, was initially created for the preparation of a younger sibling about to join the family.  That in itself is a really good idea- our older children will certainly have some feelings regarding a new member of the family, and helping them learn about babies, how they will come home, what being a big sibling will be like, where mommy will go to have the baby, etc will all go a long way in making them feel included in the process. 

Baby GoGo is also gender neutral, which means that it is made for either boys or girls.  I can’t stand it when people cringe or judge a boy for wanting to play with a doll or other “girls toys”.  There should be no classification between “boy’s toys” and “girl’s toys”- if someone told my daughter she couldn’t play with a football or a truck, I think I would lose it!  I feel the same way about macho attitudes about boys playing with a doll.  We want our sons to grow up and be good men, loving husbands,  kind fathers, involved in the lives of their children- yet some cringe at the nurturing aspects of our son’s behavior, and would deny them the chance to grow and express these emotions and instincts. 

About a year ago, Little Man wanted a doll and carriage.  We found him an all blue doll after quite a search, ordered online.  His uncle made him a stroller, then found a gray carrier when he was out of state and got it for him (he has a good uncle!)  I gave him a black diaper bag I had- it’s too big for him to really carry around, but he likes to play with it.  It’s hard to find stuff for a sweet little boy who wants to play daddy!  (Remember Baby GoGo if you have a son or are expecting– especially if you don’t know the sex!) 

Baby GoGo is not pink, nor is it blue.  The colors and pattern chosen does not scream “this is for a BOY”   or “GIRL”!  When we brought it to the Pre-K, the kids all loved it.  The kids named it “GoGo”- yep, creative bunch, LOL- and all took turns playing with baby.  We read the story, “Baby GoGo Goes Home”  and they had lots of questions and stories about their “little sib“s. 

I would highly recommend Baby GoGo.  It’s a great toy, with a great message.  And packaged in recycled materials- Yay!  Love that.

CSN Review

CSN Stores has over 200 online stores where you can find everything from contemporary coffee tables to fantastic fitness equipment to cookware!
They have such a wide selection, and everything is so easy to find, that shopping is just a breeze.  
 As you know, my husband LOVES to cook- lucky me, right?  And he’s pretty good at it, too!   He has been wanting a rice cooker and a pizza stone, and he just couldn’t choose.  But the prices are really reasonable, so we got both.  



CSN partners with many different stores, one of which is www.cookware.com.  That is where we chose our cool new kitchen items from! 
One of the other items I have my eyes on is

I think it would be great for the New Year coming up!
And I also think this would be great for the car– and you know we are travelers, so it would certainly be used, LOL.

Holiday Gift Guide- Storyland Yoga Review and Giveaway!

 I love yoga.  I love sharing the joy and benefits of yoga with those around me.  I love my yoga classes.  I love how yoga makes me feel, and how it improves my body, mind, and mindset.  (Can you tell I like it a bit?)
I also love to do yoga with my kids and with my Pre-School class.  The director was a bit skeptical at first, but after a 3 day in a row rain session we had last year, she caved and let me do it.  And the result?  The kids loved it, and they SLEPT SO WELL AT NAPTIME, that she was amazed.  I had parents asking me for my “secret”, LOL.

Here are my EARLY MORNING kids last week- they begged to to the “Whale Yoga!”  again

 So when I had the opportunity to review “StoryLand Yoga”, by Playful Planet, I jumped at it!
Winner of the Parents Choice Award as well as the Dr. Toy Best Green Toy Award and “Preferred Choice” by  Creative Child Magazine as the sole winner in the “Environmentally Friendly” category, this unique and fun DVD features 2 tracks to choose from.
In Storyland Yoga,  children follow two unique stories (Save the Whale and Condor Trek,) and learn yoga poses by imitating animals and story elements, while receiving the aforementioned earth-friendly messages.    It is also getting overwhelming praise from families,  teachers and health professionals.”
We did “Save the Whale” first, and then had a great talk about what we can do to help the whales, and why conservation is important.  They are really “getting it”, kids are not “too young” for these important concepts.  This is their future, after all!  

 
This DVD is geared toward kids (3 to 8,) but is fun for the whole family, and at just $14.99 it is affordable for most everyone!  We were just featured in Yoga Journal (October,) and will be in Our Favorite Things section in Disney Family Fun in November.
This product is an interactive, family-friendly, yoga DVD with a ‘green’ twist.  The stories contain messages about treating the planet with respect and a 100% recycled packaging was chosen for the product itself.  That’s right, just just TALK green, Walk it!

 I was sent this adorable book, Blooming Buddies In The Garden,  to review.  I really liked it.  It had simple and clear messages, a pleasant tone, and the kids really liked it.  I read it to them this week because we were discussing our feelings, and this book has some very sweet and not “in your face” thoughts about self esteem and loving yourself, and also accepting your own differences and those of others.  We can still like people who are different then us!  (I accidentally left it on the teacher’s station on Friday when I left- I can’t even IMAGINE what the kids will have done to it when I get back on Monday, LOL!  Sigh- I had wanted to keep it aside to use again for flowers week!  But they liked it- and so, we know what that means!)

 The book is also visually beautiful, and has some very sweet lines.  In one of my favorites, “sassy bitty bud” reminds her larger flower friend that she needs lots of room to shine!  
I give this adorable book to BIG thumbs up.    Our kids need to have our reminders that they don’t need to look or act a certian way.  There is so much pressure on them, especially girls.  I like what this book has to say, and I like how it is said.  Good job, Blooming Buddies!
