WaterWipes For Little Ones #WaterWipes #IC #ad

This post was sponsored by WaterWipes as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

I recently headed out to Stop and Shop to pick up some WaterWipes, a chemical free wipe option that is great for sensitive skin.  Stop and Shop made it easy to go in, grab what I needed, and get out quickly (and they had some good sales going on as well).  However, because of the sales, and the fact that I can’t resist a good one, I ended up picking up dog treats, blueberry ice cream (hard to find in these parts!) and Halva bars- which I can never find anywhere- that I hadn’t planned on buying, ha.  I texted a photo of the candy to my husband, as it is one of his all time favorite snacks- he was pretty excited for my find.  Stop and Shop not only let me pick up my list, but had some hard to find items at good prices as well.

Being a mom is tough stuff. When you bring a new baby into the family, especially your first child, the choices can be overwhelming. You want to do your best, give your little one everything, and do right by them.  It can be hard to know what’s best, not to mention what is IN everything you put into and onto your baby.

20151110_083459

I remember being told to use plain water and cotton balls to clean up baby’s diaper messes- which is messy itself.  There are other chemical free, easy on baby’s skin options, such as WaterWipes, a premium European brand, available now at your local Stop and Shop stores.   These baby wipes contain only two ingredients- 99.9% purified water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract.  Nothing that can harm your baby, or irritate his or her delicate skin.

These wipes are much more durable and effective then a cotton ball, and you don’t need to worry about the wipes containing any harmful chemicals that some others do. WaterWipes is a safer and more natural option in wipes.  If your baby or child of any age has issues with diaper rashes (or rashes when they use wipes in the bathroom at all), consider trying WaterWipes and see if that doesn’t help the issue.

More About WaterWipes

  • WaterWipes are chemical free – this means they don’t contain preservatives. The package will keep for up to 15 months before it is opened. Once you open your WaterWipes package, it is recommend that you use the pack within 1 month.
  • Unlike some other wipe brands, WaterWipes are not interfolded. This allows for the sterile environment within the package to be maintained. For the same reason, it is  recommend that you do not relocate the wipes in an alternate container.

Sprout® Organic baby food

Disclosure- This is a sponsored post.  All opinions are my own and honest.  For more, see “I Disclose”.

20151006_090247

Recently, there is a new cultural swing in food.  From fast, cheap to make and easily dispensed, to organic and more wholesome foods that have that extra nurturing touch and are better for your and yours.  It is now time to make things healthier, specifically for your little guy or gal.  This includes (or course) baby and infant food.

20151006_090605

We are looking at the new Sprout Organic baby/toddler foods today, which come in several varieties and quite a few flavors.  Sprout’s mission is to create delicious and nutritious foods for the entire family using the finest organic ingredients. Three guiding principles help shape all that they do: “we believe in nourishment without compromise; empowering people with transparency; and a better future through organic whole foods”.

20151006_090627

In regard to the food itself, each variety is naturally sweet and wholesome. Sprout recipes are made with certified organic ingredients and contain no preservatives, artificial colors, flavors or other additives. Sprout is also pleased to be able to offer a selection of recipes suitable for those with allergies and food sensitivities as well.

Growing up, our little guy had few food sensitivities, but it is scary to think about how difficult it would be trying to keep a balanced diet for your little ones while keeping them safe from common allergens and preservatives.  Our little guy has always had such a big personality, even as a toddler.  Always babbling about something or another, even if it made no sense to the rest of us.  To keep that energy going he needed to be best nourished with real, honest, pure ingredients.  It’s not worth messing around with what you feed your child- even a kid with no allergies or health issues can only benefit form eating proper foods not filled with garbage, fillers, byproducts, and chemicals.  Those are not meant to be in anyone’s body- keep them away from your most precious love. Check out all that Sprout Organic has to offer, and see if your little one likes it.

The Day He Was Born – My #PromiseToBaby #Partner

I never expected to (honestly, or wanted to) get pregnant.  It was not on my “list of things to do”.  I had other thoughts, but clearly God knew better then I did.  I’ve made many, many mistakes in my life (which certain people enjoy pointing out just a little too much, but what can you do, ay?) but of all of them, getting pregnant with my son was the best one I ever made.  He was unexpected, and came at a time that was less then ideal, but in reality and in the grand scheme of things- he came at the perfect time and entirely perfectly.  Shows what I know about anything.  Exactly nothing.

While some people think that review and lifestyle blogs try to make out the writer/blogger’s lives to be perfect and without flaw, most bloggers just keep personal details to themselves, as they are not online diaries.  We are far from perfect people- but most of us do the best that we can every day- win, lose, or draw.  Some days are better then others, just like everyone else.  I’d like to tell you about the best day of my life.

newThe day my son was born was after a long labor.  I will spare you those details.  I ended up having a C-Section, since he was already being the stubborn little boy that I have come to know and love, and refusing to come out when he needed to.  After some trial and effort, we got the anesthetics in and we were ready to go.  A sheet was placed up at roughly chest level- I was not able to see the moment my son came into the world.  I was, however, able to hear his first cry- and in that moment, I knew that everything I thought I knew in the world, everything I was sure of, or that made me “me”- was wrong.  Was over.  That was he was my world.  And then I saw his face.

Newborn Photography Tips for Parents

There are few experiences in life that eclipse the miracle of birth, so it’s understandable that parents want to commemorate every moment. While some new moms are not very keen on the idea of having a video camera in the delivery room, capturing every second of the event, most parents agree that snapping pics after the fact is desirable. And if you’re like most parents, you’re going to take plenty of photos once you bring baby home. After all, you want to make sure you don’t miss a single first, and you’re likely keen to send pics to family and friends that are eager to get a gander at your newborn. But you don’t necessarily want to take a million pictures of a fussy infant; you want pictures that show what a perfect little angel your baby is. So here are just a few tips that can help to ensure you get the beautiful photos of your newborn that you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

1. Pick your moments. If you want to get the best photos, you need to catch your baby in the right mood. And most infants are better behaved when they’re neither tired nor hungry. The obvious solution is to click away while your baby is sleeping, capturing adorable photos of your newborn in repose. But if you don’t want to rouse him, you really can’t move him around. And frankly, you
