It's August, so you know what that means!  Yes, it's hot, LOL.  I can think of two things that August brings- back to school preparations, and BUGS!  Buggies, buggies, everywhere.  While this is super-lame when the mosquito come out, it's great for grabbing a magnifying glass and mason jar and going on a bug hunt!  You can even identify your finds with a bug-book before letting them go again.

Little Man had so much fun with these, and they are sure to be a hit in my classroom for "Bug Week".  Back to School is for teachers, too!  We need to be ready for our classes, and projects, activities, and all that goes with it.
