for you to try. See what works for you and banish the morning sickness blues so you

can focus on the fun part of being pregnant! Here are our top 5 natural remedies:

dealing with morning sickness

1) Iced ginger tea

Use fresh ginger to create a delicious ginger herbal tea. Simply grate a tablespoon.

Boil it for a few minutes and let it steep for 5 minutes. Add milk or honey to taste.

Store in the fridge and drink either as a refreshing iced tea or reheat it and serve it

hot. Or for something different, add some sparkling water to the ginger tea mix for

some zing.

2) Acupressure

There are many wristbands available that are designed to reduce sickness. These

work by pushing gentle on the pulse point in your wrist called the Pericardium 6.

This pulse point works to relieve nausea and vomiting. Visit your local pharmacist

or health food shop to find the wristbands.

3) Fennel seeds

Fennel is used for its anti nausea properties in Chinese medicine. Simply keep a

handful of fennel seeds next to your bed and chew them when you feel nauseous.

Or crush the seeds and boil to make a herbal tea. Just toss 1 Tablespoon of fennel

seeds into a coffee grinder and crush. Take the crushed seeds and place in boiling

water and let it steep for 10 minutes before drinking.

4) Peppermint

Peppermint can be used to ease a queasy tummy. Just add a few drops of

peppermint essential oil to an aromatherapy diffuser. Or if you don’t have one at

home, add a few drops of peppermint oil to a large bowl of boiling water and leave

with you in the room to inhale the steam. Make sure you put the bowl of water in a

safe place where it’s unlikely to be knocked over!

5) Lemons

There are many ways to try lemon as a cure for your morning sickness. You could

suck lemon drops, lick or bite a lemon (don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!), drink

lemonade or pop a slice of lemon into a mug of boiling water and sip slowly.

As with all home remedies, check with your doctor if you have any concerns to make

sure the advice is right for you. Keep your spirits up and focus on the fact that morning

sickness is fleeting for the vast majority of woman. Within the next 9 months you’ll be

holding your beautiful baby and morning sickness will be a distant memory. So next

time you feel the dreaded nausea creeping up on you, take action and try some of
